Dr. Yulong Zhao
Director General, Finance and Accounting / Solvency Regulation Department, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission
Dr. Zhao Yulong, Director General, Finance and Accounting / Solvency Regulation Department of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. He has 18 years of experience in insurance regulation, and headed the design and development of China Risk-Oriented Solvency System (C-ROSS). He is a part-time professor of the School of Economics at Peking University and a special teacher for PhD students at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Dr. Jianqiao Lu
Board Member, International Accounting Standards Board
Dr. Jianqiao Lu joined the International Accounting Standards Board (Board) from the Chinese Ministry of Finance, where he most recently served as the director of the Accounting Regulatory Department. During his time there, he played a leading role in China’s work to align Chinese accounting standards with IFRS Standards. Dr Lu previously served as the head of China’s governmental accounting standards reform working group and also led projects to develop accounting standards for non-governmental not-for-profit organisations.

He has made an important contribution to the establishment and work of the Asia-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG), an independent forum of accounting standard-setters from across the region. He has also been actively involved with the IFRS Foundation for many years, including as a key facilitator of the Board’s Emerging Economies Group and as a member of the Accounting Standards Advisory Forum.
Feifei Zhang
Group Co Chief Actuary, Fosun Group
Feifei joined Fosun Group in June 2018 as Co Chief Actuary.

Prior to joining Fosun, he was Lead Partner for KPMG China’s Actuarial Practice, responsible for all actuarial audit and advisory services.  Before that, he spent more than 10 years in the UK and his previous roles include Complex Asset and Solvency II Technical Director at Aviva Group; and Global Head of Insurance and Inflation Risks at Deutsche Bank.

Feifei is a qualified actuary since 2005,and served at the UK Actuarial Profession’s Council between 2014 and 2017.  He holds an MSc Degree from LSE in International Accounting and Finance.

Feifei is specialized in risk, capital and financial management for insurance, pension and banking services.  In the past decade, he was actively involved in the insurance regulations in Europe, China and Hong Kong.  He is an Honored Lecturer for the Insurance Asset Management Association of China.
Jin Peng
Partner, Actuarial Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consultant Limited
Mr Peng Jin is an actuarial partner with PwC actuarial service in Asia-Pacific. He has more than 20 year experience in insurance industry and qualified as Fellow of Faculty of Actuaries in 2003. Mr Jinhas extensive experience in financial reporting, embedded value and financial management of insurance companies.

Mr Jin is the technical expert leading IFRS17 implementation/preparation within PwC Asia-Pacific. He has led and is leading various projects to assist clients in impact assessment and implementation of IFRS17.

Jihai Peng
Executive Director, Vice President, CFO and Head of Investment, Sunshine Insurance Group
Mr. Jihai Peng is a Senior Accountant with a graduate degree in economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and EMBA of Tsinghua University. He also holds the position of Executive Deputy Director of the Financial Accounting Committee of Insurance Association of China.He has over 20 years of financial management experience and focused on the area of finance for many years. The author of a number of publications, Mr. Peng has gained profound understanding of capital, assets, equity, and business operation.
Mr. Peng joined Sunshine Insurance Group in 2008. He is currently acting as Executive Director, Vice President, CFO and Head of Investment of Sunshine Insurance Group; Vice President and CFO of Sunshine Asset Management Co., Ltd.; Chairman of Sunshine Credit Guarantee Insurance Co., Ltd.; Director of Sunshine Property Insurance Co., Ltd.; Director of Sunshine Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Mr. Peng previously worked for Beijing Construction Engineering Group and Beijing Capital Group.
Henry Ashworth
Director, Head of APAC Insurance, Client Portfolio Solutions, Blackrock
Henry Ashworth, PhD, Director, is Head of APAC Insurance in Client Portfolio Solutions.

Client Portfolio Solutions is the investment group that brings together BlackRock's research, investment experience and technology to meet clients' needs for whole-portfolio investment strategy. The Insurance Team has specialist sector expertise (ALM, regulation, accounting) and experience in designing solutions for Insurance Clients.

Prior to his current responsibilities Dr. Ashworth was responsible for UK and Ireland based clients. This role entailed the design and implementation of investment strategy and risk management solutions for wide range of both Life and P&C clients. Dr. Ashworth was also subject matter expert for Solvency II.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2012, Dr. Ashworth was an Investment Strategy Manager at Legal & General. He was responsible for developing investment strategy for the annuity book, with specific focus on designing and implementing alternative credit investment strategies. He began his career at Merrill Lynch Quantitative Analyst in the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team.

Dr. Ashworth earned an MSc degree in theoretical physics from Durham University in 2004 and a PhD degree in physics from Imperial College London in 2008 for his work in Quantum Optics. He also earned the Certificate in Quantitative Finance in 2014.

Simon Harris
Managing Director, Financial Institutions Group, Moody's Investors Service
Simon Harris is Managing Director for Global Insurance and Managed Investments, based in London. He is responsible for Moody’s analytic teams maintaining Moody’s ratings on re/insurers and managed investments globally.

Simon joined Moody’s European Insurance team in 1998, working on analysis of UK and German life and non-life insurance groups, and assumed managerial responsibilities for EMEA Insurance in 2005, Nordic Banking in 2009, and Moody’s Global Insurance and Managed Investments in 2014. Prior to joining Moody’s, Simon was an actuary with Co-operative Financial Services in Manchester, England. Simon holds a B.A. in Economics from Leeds University, and is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries (FIA).
Colin Holmes
Managing Director, Enterprise Risk Solutions, Moody’s Analytics
Colin is Managing Director of Insurance Solutions at Moody’s Analytics. The bulk of Colin’s career has been spent in financial risk management with Barrie & Hibbert (B&H) and Moody’s Analytics. During his time at B&H, Colin had a broad involvement across the business, working within a range of technical, management and customer-focused roles, in the UK, Europe and the US. The business’ growth resulted in the acquisition of B&H by Moody’s Analytics in 2011.

Since joining Moody’s Analytics, Colin has been involved across the ERS Insurance business, focused on implementation services. In his current role, Colin has overall responsibility for the Enterprise Risk Solutions business in the insurance sector.
Dr. Deng Shu
Senior Economist, Moody's Analytics
Dr. Deng Shu is a Senior Economist at Moody’s Analytics and a core member of the Economics & Consumer Credit Analytics (ECCA) group. Shu develops macro and regional economic models using econometric methods, credit risk models and analyzes credit risk for various lending institutions.

Shu’s team has built a long-term cooperation with major banks and lenders in the US, helping them to improve and standardize their practice in credit risk management by exploring the impact of macroeconomic cycle onto the credit risk of lenders’ portfolio, quantifying and forecasting the credit loss of banks’ portfolio under different economic trends. The findings have been widely used in internal risk management and stress testing practices of the banking industry.

Shu also has a profound understanding about the IFRS9 standards, and extensive experience in developing and applying IFRS9 models through macroeconomic forecasting and consumer credit risk models. Shu holds a PhD & MSc in economics from Temple University, a BSc in business administration from University of Science & Technology of China.
Sally Yim
Associate Managing Director, Financial Institutions Group, Moody's Investors Service
Sally Yim is an Associate Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, Sally oversees teams responsible for the maintenance of ratings on Asian (including Japan) insurers and North Asian (excluding Japan) non-bank financial institutions.

Sally joined Moody’s in February 2005 as an Associate Analyst in New York, covering property & casualty insurers. She transferred to Hong Kong in 2006 and completed a short stint in the Corporate Finance Group, supporting analysts in the oil & gas, petrochemical and steel sectors. Sally rejoined the Financial Institutions Group as an Analyst in January 2007. Since then, Sally has covered various Asian financial institutions, including insurance companies, banks and securities companies.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Sally worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP in New York, specializing in private and public insurers. She also worked at Ernst & Young’s National Professional Practice, where she focused on technical accounting research, while assisting in accounting consultations.

Sally holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan. She is a CFA charterholder and also a Certified Public Accountant.
Andrew Waters
Director, Enterprise Risk Solutions, Moody's Analytics
Andrew Waters is a Director at Moody’s Analytics focused on enterprise risk management for the insurance sector. He is involved in the development of our advisory services offering, working with research, product, sales, and implementation services teams to deliver tailored solutions for insurers. For the preceding 6 years, he has been dedicated to providing Solvency II internal models, with experience in liability approximations (replicating portfolios, curve fitting, Least Squares Monte Carlo), ALM, hedging, Economic Capital Optimisation, and stress testing. Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in risk management for pensions, banks, asset managers, and insurers. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, he has worked at Markit/QuIC, Algorithmics, Mercer, and RBC. Andrew is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a variety of designations including the FRM, PRM, and CAIA.
Frank Yuen
Assistant Vice President - Analyst, Financial Institutions, Moody's Investors Service
Frank Yuen is an Assistant Vice President with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, he is part of the insurance rating team covering a portfolio of insurers in Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Frank spent six years at BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered as an equity research analyst, covering banks and insurers in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. He also spent two years as a management trainee at Standard Chartered.

Frank graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Actuarial Science. Frank Yuen is a CFA and FRM charterholder.
Qian Zhu
Vice President - Senior Credit Officer, Financial Institutions Group, Moody’s Investors Service
Qian Zhu is a Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Shanghai, where she covers a portfolio of Asian insurance companies.

Qian transferred to Shanghai in February 2016 after spending over 10 years in Moody’s Structured Finance Group in both New York and London, covering various securitization products, including catastrophe bonds. In addition, Qian was seconded to CCXI, Moody’s joint venture company in China, as Chief Technical Advisor in CCXI’s Structured Finance Department from February to June 2014.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Qian worked as a senior actuarial analyst with Towers Watson in New York, specializing in pension and retirement medical  
plan valuation.

Qian received her Bachelor of Economics and Master of Operations Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University. She holds both a CFA charter and an ASA designation.
Will Halley
Director, Actuarial Modelling Services, ERS Insurance, APAC, Moody’s Analytics
Will is a Director at Moody’s Analytics and leads the Actuarial Modelling Services team in APAC. Will joined Barrie & Hibbert (subsequently acquired by Moody’s Analytics) in 2011 as a member of the modeling services team in Edinburgh, working on model calibration and investment governance services, before moving to the company's Hong Kong office as a Solutions Specialist in 2012. Formerly a Performance and Risk Manager at Alliance Trust Asset Management, Will has an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Heriot Watt University, a BSc in Mathematics from University Edinburgh and is a CFA charter holder.
